Mistakes (w/o) Words

"Mistakes (w/o words)" collage, 2011, by: Chrissy Miles

A scan of my Mistakes collage minus the words.

“Mistakes are always of a sacred nature. Never try to correct them. On the contary: rationalize them, understand them thoroughly. After that it will be possible for you to sublimate them.” -Dali

I love to meditate on this image. It works with a broken heart and with art. It’s one of the few quotes I’ve come across that continues to reverberate with me today.

ah, the magic of the ‘mistake’ – the happy accident – in life as in art. Your collage touches me deeply.
